GTM Playbooks for Jira — Atlassian Forge App for Jira Cloud
Last updated: July 31, 2026
The Short Version
GTM Playbooks for Jira sends no data to Makeinfo, because it technically cannot. The app declares no external network permissions, so the Atlassian Forge platform blocks every outbound request it could make — including any request to us. Everything the app stores stays inside your own Atlassian cloud site. We operate no server, no database, and no analytics for this app.
What This Policy Covers
This Privacy Policy applies exclusively to the GTM Playbooks for Jira Atlassian Forge app published by Makeinfo ("we", "us", or "our"). It explains what the app accesses, what it stores, where that data lives, and how long it is kept. It does not cover the Makeinfo website or other Makeinfo products, which have their own privacy notices.
Permission Scopes We Request
The app requests exactly one Forge permission scope:
storage:app— required by Atlassian's Forge Key-Value Store, which is where the app saves your playbooks and checklists. This is the only scope in the app's manifest.
The app requests no Jira read or write scopes. It cannot read your issues, projects, boards, comments, attachments, custom fields, users, or user profiles, because it never asks for permission to.
Jira Data We Access
The app makes no Jira REST API calls of any kind. The only piece of Jira information it reads is the issue ID of the issue whose panel is currently open, which the Forge platform supplies directly to the panel. The app uses that ID solely as a storage key, so it knows which checklist belongs to which issue.
The app does not read issue summaries, descriptions, statuses, assignees, reporters, comments, or any other issue field. It does not read your user profile, email address, or account ID.
Data the App Stores
All of it lives in Atlassian's Forge storage, inside your own Atlassian cloud site:
- Your playbook library — one record per site containing every playbook: its name, its category (Marketing, Sales, or Agency), and its list of checklist items. This includes the 16 built-in playbooks the app ships with, plus any playbook your team creates or edits.
- Applied checklists — one record per Jira issue that has a playbook applied, containing a copy of the checklist item text, which items are ticked, the name of the playbook it came from, and the timestamp it was applied.
The only personal data the app holds is whatever your own team chooses to type into a playbook or checklist item. Nothing in the app requires or prompts for personal data. We recommend you do not put personal data into checklist item text.
Data We Do Not Collect
- No account, sign-up, login, or password — the app has none.
- No API keys or credentials of any kind.
- No analytics, telemetry, usage tracking, session recording, or crash reporting.
- No cookies or browser storage set by us.
- No email addresses, names, or contact details.
- No advertising identifiers, and no data sold or shared with advertisers — we do not sell data.
Where Your Data Lives
All app data is stored in the Atlassian Forge Key-Value Store, which runs on Atlassian's own cloud infrastructure and is bound to your Atlassian site. It is therefore covered by Atlassian's security, encryption, and data-residency controls, and by Atlassian's Privacy Policy. Atlassian is the app's only sub-processor, in its capacity as the platform host. Makeinfo has no copy of your data and no ability to obtain one.
Who Can See Your Data
Anyone who can access the app on your Jira site can see the playbook library and the checklists on issues they can view. The app has no separate permission model and no admin-only mode: any user who can open the GTM Playbook Library can edit, duplicate, or delete any playbook in it. Access is controlled entirely through your own Jira site permissions.
Makeinfo staff cannot see any of it. Neither can any third party we work with, because we do not transmit the data anywhere.
Data Retention and Deletion
- While the app is installed, your playbooks and checklists are retained until you delete them. You can delete a playbook from the GTM Playbook Library, and remove a checklist from an issue using Remove checklist in the issue panel. Both take effect immediately.
- If your subscription lapses, nothing is deleted. The app blocks access and shows a renewal message; your data remains in storage and becomes available again the moment the subscription is active.
- When you uninstall the app, Atlassian removes the app's Forge storage as part of its standard uninstall process. That removal is permanent, and because we hold no copy, we cannot restore it.
Note that removing an applied checklist and deleting the underlying Jira issue are different actions. Deleting a Jira issue does not itself clear the checklist record the app stored against that issue's ID; that record is removed when the app is uninstalled.
Your Rights
Because Makeinfo holds none of your data, requests to access, correct, export, or erase data stored by this app are handled entirely within your own Atlassian site. You can view and edit every playbook in the GTM Playbook Library, view every applied checklist on its issue, delete either at any time, and remove all of it by uninstalling the app. For rights relating to the underlying platform, contact Atlassian as the data host.
If you are subject to the GDPR, UK GDPR, CCPA, or a similar regime, you are the controller for the content your team enters into the app. Makeinfo is neither a controller nor a processor of that content, since it never reaches us.
Children's Privacy
The app is a business tool and is not directed at children. It collects no personal information from anyone, including children under 13.
Changes to This Policy
We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. When we do, we will revise the "Last updated" date at the top of this page. If a future release of the app ever changes what it accesses — for example by adding a permission scope or an external network permission — we will update this policy before that release ships, and the change will also be visible in the app's permission list on the Atlassian Marketplace.
