GTM Playbooks for Jira — Atlassian Forge App for Jira Cloud

Last updated: July 31, 2026

1. Service Description

GTM Playbooks for Jira ("the App") is a Jira Cloud app published by Makeinfo ("we", "us", or "our") and built on the Atlassian Forge platform. The App provides reusable checklist templates ("playbooks") that can be applied to Jira issues and tracked to completion.

The App adds two modules to your Jira site:

  • GTM Playbook Library — a global page for browsing, creating, editing, duplicating, and deleting playbooks.
  • GTM Playbooks — an issue panel for applying a playbook to an issue, ticking items off, and viewing completion progress.

2. Acceptance of Terms

By installing or using the App you ("you", or the "Customer") agree to be bound by these Terms of Service. If you install the App on behalf of an organization, you represent that you have the authority to bind that organization, and these Terms apply to that organization and to every user of the App on your Atlassian site. If you do not agree to these Terms, do not install or use the App.

These Terms are supplemented by the general Makeinfo Terms of Service, which apply to anything these Terms do not address. Where the two conflict, these product-specific Terms govern the App.

3. Grant of License

Subject to your compliance with these Terms and to an active subscription or evaluation, we grant you a limited, non-exclusive, non-transferable, non-sublicensable, revocable license to install and use the App on the Atlassian cloud site or sites covered by your subscription, for your own internal business purposes, for as long as that subscription or evaluation remains in effect.

This license does not permit you to:

  • Sublicense, sell, resell, rent, lease, or otherwise commercialize access to the App.
  • Reverse-engineer, decompile, or disassemble the App, except where that restriction is prohibited by applicable law.
  • Circumvent, disable, or interfere with the App's license check or any other access control.
  • Use the App to build a competing product.

4. Subscription, Billing, and Evaluation

The App is sold as a paid subscription through the Atlassian Marketplace. There is no free edition and no feature-limited tier. Atlassian is the merchant of record: Atlassian sets and collects payment, administers the evaluation period, applies its own small-site pricing rules, and handles taxes, invoices, and refunds under Atlassian's Marketplace Terms of Use. We do not process your payment and do not control your billing cycle.

An evaluation licence grants full access to every feature — evaluations and paid subscriptions behave identically in the App.

If your subscription lapses or is cancelled, the App stops working but deletes nothing. Both modules show a renewal message instead of their normal interface. Your playbook library and every checklist already applied to an issue remain in storage exactly as they were, and access is restored as soon as an active subscription is in place. Data removal happens only when you uninstall the App — see Section 11.

5. Your Data

The App stores your playbooks and applied checklists in Atlassian Forge storage, inside your own Atlassian cloud site. Makeinfo operates no server in the path: the App declares no external egress permissions, so the Forge platform prevents it from sending data to any outside host, including to us. We cannot read, export, or recover your playbook data.

You retain ownership of the content of any playbook or checklist you create. What the App accesses and stores is described in full in the GTM Playbooks for Jira Privacy Policy.

6. Acceptable Use

You agree to use the App only for lawful purposes. You must not:

  • Use the App in violation of any applicable law or regulation.
  • Attempt to bypass or tamper with the subscription check that gates the App's functionality.
  • Store content in a playbook that you do not have the right to store, including personal data you have no lawful basis to process.
  • Use the App in a way that disrupts the Atlassian platform or other users of your site.

7. Your Responsibilities

  • You are responsible for the content of the playbooks and checklist items your team creates.
  • Access to the App is governed by your Jira site's own permissions. Anyone who can reach the App on your site can use it.
  • The App has no admin-only mode. Any user who can open the GTM Playbook Library can edit, duplicate, or delete any playbook in it, including the built-in playbooks the App ships with. This is by design. If you need to restrict who can change your playbooks, restrict who can access the App through Jira.
  • Deleting a playbook removes it for everyone on the site and cannot be undone. Checklists already applied to issues are unaffected — see Section 8.
  • You are responsible for maintaining your Atlassian subscription and your own backups of any playbook content you consider critical.

8. How Applied Checklists Behave

When you apply a playbook to an issue, the issue receives its own copy of the checklist items. Editing or deleting the playbook afterwards never rewrites a checklist already applied to an issue.

An issue holds one checklist at a time. Applying a new playbook to an issue that already has one replaces the existing checklist, and the completion progress recorded in it is lost. The App asks you to confirm before doing this. We are not liable for progress lost through a confirmed replace or remove action.

9. Service Availability

We provide the App on a best-effort basis and do not guarantee uninterrupted or error-free operation. The App runs entirely on Atlassian's Forge platform, so its availability, performance, and data residency are determined by Atlassian's infrastructure and are outside our control. We may add, change, or remove features over time, and we may ship updated built-in playbooks in future releases. Our support hours and response-time commitments are described in the GTM Playbooks for Jira Support & SLA page.

10. No Warranty

The App is provided "as is" and "as available" without warranties of any kind, either express or implied, including but not limited to implied warranties of merchantability, fitness for a particular purpose, and non-infringement. The built-in playbooks are starting points drafted from common go-to-market practice; they are not professional, legal, or compliance advice, and we do not warrant that following them will produce any particular outcome.

11. Termination

You may terminate your use of the App at any time by uninstalling it from your Atlassian site, and by cancelling the subscription through Atlassian. Uninstalling the App removes the App's Forge storage — including your playbook library and every applied checklist — through Atlassian's standard uninstall path. That removal is permanent and we cannot recover the data afterwards.

We may suspend or terminate your access at any time, with or without notice, if we reasonably believe you have violated these Terms or applicable law.

12. Limitation of Liability

To the maximum extent permitted by applicable law, Makeinfo and its affiliates, officers, employees, and agents shall not be liable for any indirect, incidental, special, consequential, or punitive damages, including but not limited to loss of profits, data, business, or goodwill, arising out of or in connection with your use of or inability to use the App, even if we have been advised of the possibility of such damages.

Our total cumulative liability for any claims arising under these Terms shall not exceed the amount you paid for the App in the twelve (12) months preceding the claim, or USD $50, whichever is greater. We are not liable for Atlassian platform outages, for data loss caused by uninstalling the App, or for any charges billed to you by Atlassian.

13. Changes to These Terms

We may update these Terms from time to time. When we do, we will revise the "Last updated" date at the top of this page. Your continued use of the App after changes are posted constitutes acceptance of the revised Terms. If you do not agree to the revised Terms, you must stop using and uninstall the App.

14. Governing Law

These Terms shall be governed by and construed in accordance with applicable laws. Any disputes arising under or in connection with these Terms shall be subject to the exclusive jurisdiction of the courts of competent jurisdiction. If you have a dispute, please contact us first at [email protected] — we will make every reasonable effort to resolve it amicably.

15. Entire Agreement

These Terms, together with the GTM Playbooks for Jira Privacy Policy and the general Makeinfo Terms of Service, constitute the entire agreement between you and Makeinfo with respect to the App and supersede all prior agreements and understandings, whether written or oral. If any provision is found unenforceable, the remaining provisions remain in full force.
